Role Description

As a Senior Attorney, you will be a manager and senior member of Elevate’s Global Managed Contract Services Team, serving as Elevate’s lead contracts lawyer on an outsourcing engagement with a global company.  In this role, you will have overall responsibility for delivering contract support to the company’s business units, employing innovative methods to improve quality and reduce costs.  You will serve as Elevate’s chief point of contact with the GC on this work stream and will be called upon to act as a business partner as well as a senior lawyer handling escalations and complex transactions.  You will directly lead a team of lawyers, contract managers, contract admins and paralegals and will receive support from Elevate’s global teams of process experts, offshore resources, technologists, and other specialists.

Specifically you will...

  • Be responsible for supporting the contracting needs of business teams in the U.S., Canada and possibly LATAM, including drafting, negotiating, and managing the agreements.
  • Manage a team of legal professionals residing in multiple locations.
  • Negotiate complex agreements, handle escalations from the team, and provide quality control.
  • Serve as a business partner and contracting expert for the GC and the legal department.
  • Update, harmonize or develop contract templates, negotiation playbooks, guidelines, and other contract infrastructure tools
  • Work with Elevate’s subject matter experts to continuously improve quality and efficiency by introducing process, technology, and right-sourced resourcing. 
  • Build training and mentoring programs focused on identifying and bridging skill gaps of team members.
  • Support sales and design solutions for new managed contract services engagements, including RFP responses, proposals, pricing staffing, and project implementation.


  • 10+ years of commercial legal experience in an in-house legal department or with a law firm.
  • Experience managing and developing people and teams, including attorneys and legal specialists in other geographic regions.
  • Legal practice focused on commercial transaction support.  Experience with Canadian contract law is a plus.
  • Experience working with multinational companies and supporting business clients and legal teams in all geographic regions.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience with contracting process tools and infrastructure, workflow management, and metrics.
  • Excellent track record in previous client support/customer service engagements

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft Products like Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneNote.
  • Some experience with contract management software or workflow tools is a plus.
  • Facility capturing, organizing, and working with data.


  • J.D. or LLM from accredited or internationally recognized law school with license to practice in at least one U.S. state.
