Job Description

Elevate’s customer, a leading US Law Firm with offices across North America wants to hire an interim Senior e-Discovery Manager to support its litigation teams. The e-Discovery Project Manager is responsible for consulting and supporting legal teams and their clients in the strategic application and use of litigation support technologies.

Specifically you will:

  • Make recommendations regarding electronic discovery service providers and document review platforms.
  • Define technical specifications, negotiate pricing and manage service providers.
  • Create cost estimates and timeline forecasts for each phase of the discovery lifecycle. Monitor progress and update budget forecasts.
  • Prepare project status reports and conduct project status meetings.
  • Consult with legal teams on deposition/trial transcript technology and transcript management.
  • Monitor and remain apprised of case law developments in electronic discovery. Monitor advancements in e-discovery and litigation technology systems.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all aspects of a project within Technology Services.
  • Advise legal teams on application of technology tools to all phases of the litigation lifecycle.
  • Consult with legal teams on effective database design to ensure efficient document review and ongoing file maintenance.
  • Advise legal teams on principles of imaging, LDD, OCR, objective coding and document review workflow.
  • Conduct client IT interviews to assess corporate information technology infrastructure and storage practices.
  • Provide support in connection with conferences.
  • Provide support in preparation of witnesses.

Skills and Experience:

  • Superb project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.  
  • Strong case and project management skills.  
  • Ability to analyze a problem/project quickly and accurately, and propose innovative solutions.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Fluent in standard MS Office applications and ability to quickly master new litigation software.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, exercise discretion and exercise independent judgement.
  • Previous litigation or e-discovery project management experience required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of related work experience.
