Role Description

You will be a manager and senior member of Elevate’s Global Managed Contract Services Team, working closely with in-house legal departments and their internal business clients.  You will also directly manage and develop an India-based team located in Gurgaon.  You will negotiate complex business transactions, and participate on projects to improve contractual workflow, processes, and tools.  You will work both independently on assigned matters and collaboratively with the Elevate Contracts team, other Elevate service lines, and customer teams.

You Might be the Right Person If you...

  • Want to be part of a rapidly growing company in the emerging alternative legal services industry.
  • Like working in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline driven environment on a variety of matters for different clients.

  • Like working with multinational companies, spanning different markets and industries.
  • Embrace the use of technology tools to facilitate your work.
  • Are knowledge focused and understand that each task is an opportunity to capture and reuse information.
  • Work well independently as well as with teams.
  • Are willing to pitch in and help others when needed, even if these activities are outside the scope of your job role.
  • Interested in understanding our customers’ business, products, and services to become a full extension of their legal departments and provide value-added work product.

Specifically, You Will...

  • Review and negotiate various transaction types, including procurement, supply chain, and sales contracts, for three or more multinational customers, either as the primary negotiator or as a legal escalation point to resolve issues and create acceptable alternatives.
  • Coordinate with customer subject matter experts to resolve lingering contract issues.
  • Update, harmonize or develop contract templates, negotiation playbooks, guidelines, and other contract infrastructure tools.
  • Manage, develop, and grow a contracts team in India and potentially other locations.
  • Build training and mentoring programs focused on identifying and bridging skill gaps of team members.
  • Support sales and design solutions for new managed contract services engagements, including RFP responses, proposals, pricing staffing, and project implementation.
