Role Description

You will be a member of Elevate’s Contracts Services Team, working closely with our client's in-house legal department and their internal business clients to provide various types of contracts related support.  You will provide both contract administrative and deal support.  You will participate on projects to improve of our clients’ contractual workflow, and processes.  You will work independently on assigned matters, but will also work collaboratively with our contracts team.

Specifically, You Will...

  • Provide transactional support, including light contract administration.
  • Review contracts/agreements against established standards and put together a playbook or checklist.
  • Upload agreements into a contract management system and prepare summary reports.
  • Handle related administrative work.

Skills for Success

  • Provide transactional support, including contract administration and negotiation of SOWs and other low to mid-level complexity contracts.
  • Review agreements against established standards, create deviation reports, and propose alternative positions working from a negotiation playbook or checklist.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to designated contact points and stakeholders, and then interface with the other party to propose alternatives.
  • Facilitate contract approval and signatures.
  • Upload agreements into a contract management system and prepare summary reports.
  • Use summary data and other information from signed agreements to improve playbooks, tools, and templates.

Technical Skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Products, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn and use workflow tools and contract management software. 

Experience

  • 1-3 years’ experience providing contract support for business clients, either as a contracts specialist or paralegal.  Excellent track record in previous client service engagements.
