As a Compliance Specialist, you will work closely with our Compliance & Legal Team to support the growing needs in our global Finance Department, specifically supporting global compliance monitoring, maintenance of financial security and internal controls, compliance with customer billing requirements, and other reporting and audit support. Not only will you help to keep up with the current demands on the department, you will also be involved in the development of new templates and procedures that will drive our success.

Specifically You Will...

  • Support timeline management for global compliance deliverables for eight entities worldwide, currently including US, UK, Australia, Singapore, Philippines, Netherlands, India and Hong Kong.
  • Assist with research into compliance requirements in new countries related to opening new company entities.
  • Liaise with local external accounting and legal resources for various countries, related to deadline-driven projects or ad hoc questions regarding regulations.
  • Ensure timely communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding timelines and critical deliverables.
  • Coordinate with internal accounting team to obtain regular tax and audit reporting for all global company entities.
  • Liaise with tax authorities and other government/regulatory bodies as required.
  • Manage customer on-boarding requirements and status management to drive quicker billing and cash flow.
  • Review customer billing guideline documents, extracting pertinent terms and maintaining database for reference and billing compliance review.
  • Maintain documentation and substantiation required by each geography’s regulatory bodies.
  • Support audits and certifications as required.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel) required.
  • Experience with compliance management software preferred.

Experience

  • 5+ years of compliance experience in managing multiple, concurrent regulatory compliance requirements.
  • 2+ years of experience with a global firm with multiple entities required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Accounting degree preferred.
